I am so sick of explaining this to people. I usually end up saying something along the lines of “ go ride 40 miles in each type of seat and tell me I’m wrong.”

I once fucked up and bought a cushy seat because my old one was very uncomfortable. I quickly learned myself after that mistake and bought a nice rock hard number that’s much more comfortable.

I made the mistake of complaining about some discomfort after a particularly long ride. My wife gave me a gel seat cover from WalMart. I didn’t have the heart to tell her it was a waste of money.
